About Coach Stephanie Cooper
My journey into coaching started with one simple characteristic: I love helping people. I am passionate about the possibility of reinvention through the transitions we face. I support, empower and champion women to find their gifts and talents, and live a happier more fulfilled life. To help you see what exists within you and walk beside you as you reach your goals, listening with a nonjudgemental ear, and motivating you along the way is what I love to do.
Beyond my passion for helping others, I am also resilient. When I stumble and fall, I take a deep breath, brush myself off, reimagine where I want to be, and begin again. And I can help you to do the same. It isn't always easy – that I know – but I have learned so much along the way.
I can help you navigate your life transitions because I have been challenged with a multitude of them myself.
Life has presented me with my fair share of challenges. Beneath my sunny exterior are plenty of scratches and bruises from my life's hardships. I lost my mom to ovarian cancer – she was my world, the glue of our family, and everything changed from that moment on. There are no honest words to turn a heartbreak like that into a positive, but I will say that I am grateful for the 28 years I had with her, the memories, stories and gifts she left with me I will always cherish.
A few years ago I divorced, a transition I never expected. The effects of this life-altering experience rippled far beyond a marriage. Children, parents, siblings, friendships, and more were effected. A lot of work goes into the amicable relationship that exists today. I fondly remember the good, move beyond the pain, and make my daughter the priority always, in order to make the best of an unfortunate situation.
Motherhood, without a doubt, is the best job I have ever had. Though our children don’t come with a manual and there are days and situations that arise that are a challenge, I cherish every day with my daughter.
I strive to learn and grow as much from the struggles and heartbreak in my life as I do from its many gifts. I have acquired valuable life skills and tools over the past 30 years.
In addition to Transitions Coaching, I am a Pilates instructor. I was introduced to Pilates after a back injury...and was hooked almost instantly! The total body low-impact workout was perfect for my recovery, and the mind-body connection I developed was truly life changing. I knew I had to share my passion for Pilates. Watching my clients grow stronger or recover from an injury is a reward in itself, but the real draw – for me – is the personal connection I have developed with my clients.
Prior to finding my passion as a Transitions Coach and Pilates instructor, I owned and operated Boston Basket Company a corporate gift and gift basket company for 13 years.
Another of my professional ventures was as the owner of Organized Outcomes, where I helped my clients purge and organize every aspect of their life. Life can be messy, and I love to create order out of chaos wherever I can.
And this is the road that led me to Transitions Coaching. For over 20 years I knew I wanted to help people on a deeper level – but I always had good reasons not to pursue this path: time, my family, other commitments, fear. As I was approaching 50 and facing my own transitions, I realized that now was the time to follow my passion, to finally pursue my dream of becoming a coach.
I have completed a rigorous training program accredited by the International Coach Federation, and I still continue to learn and grow, both personally and professionally. I am a work in progress, just like my clients.
